Here are some questions that can help you with identifying carers in your pharmacy.

Has someone collected medicines or asked for advice on behalf of someone else?
Do they bring someone with them into the pharmacy regularly?
Has someone told you they are looking after someone?
Do you know something about their circumstances that makes you think they might be an unpaid carer?
Remember, ask them questions like ‘do you look after someone’, instead of asking ‘are you a carer’.
Be aware though, that a carer might not want to discuss their caring role in the presence of the person they care for.
