Young Carers Project

Young Carers Project supports children and young people aged 6-17 years, who are helping to care for someone in their family, with a disability, mental health condition, substance misuse issue or long-term illness.

Young Carers can access support, activities, fun days out and a range of services in Brighton & Hove.

Schools Work

The Carers Centre works with primary, secondary and special schools in Brighton & Hove to support school staff to identify young carers in their schools.

Military Young Carers

Young Carers might be supporting a parent or sibling who has sustained a physical and/or emotional injury whilst serving in the Armed Forces.  The young person may be supporting a parent or sibling who has a health issue whilst another family member is serving in the military.  Carers Hub is able to support Military Young Carers through the Young Carers Project.
