Boost Your Mood Workshop

Get moving with Active for Life. Active for Life are joining us to bring you a Boost Your Mood workshop for Carers.
We will look at your wellness routine, and the positive effects this can have on our lives.
The session includes gentle chair based exercises and breathing techniques.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong
Starts Monday 10th May 2021, 11am via Zoom (continues on 17th, 24th May and 7th June)
Join this zoom class for 45 minutes of light exercise known as Qi Gong and Tai Chi.
These movements are all about gently moving your body to breathe better and to stretch and loosen your joints. You can sit or stand, there is no lying on the floor and you work to your own level. The tutor (who has been working with the Portslade over 50s Activities Group for 12 years) will guide you through exercises you can remember and practice on a daily basis for enhanced wellbeing.

Dancing for Health and Wellbeing
Starts Tuesday 22nd June, 11.15am - 12.15pm, via Zoom (continues on 29th June and 6th, 13th, 27th July)
Rosaria Gracia will be running weekly dance classes for our health and wellbeing!
The sessions will cover face yoga, somatic movement (strength, balance & length) and dance from different styles and eras.
Join us and other local carers for a morning of dance and improve your health and wellbeing.
This group is open to all carers.

Mill View Carers Support Group
Run by Sussex Partnership NHS Trust, this is a monthly support group for carers of those who use our acute mental health services. Facilitated by a member of staff, it offers emotional support and practical advice by and for carers.
The support group is held on the 2nd Friday of every month, 2:45pm - 4:15pm, on the Mill View Site and Carers don't need to book in advance. On the day, please present at reception for room location or in advance, please e-mail: nicholas.mcmaster@sussexpartnership.nhs.uk
